It's a sad, sad day.

Perez Hilton is reporting, via Danny Wood, that the rumoured NKOTB reunion is not happening. Oh, sigh.

On his post was this picture, that I just had to share with you.

Now. Take a moment to truly drink this in. These boys look ridiculous. Jordan, who, like, tewtally had my heart in junior high (seriously, I still have the cheap bracelet made out of thread that says "I (heart) Jordan" I got at their Montreal concert), looks like a bag full of crushed arseholes.

I know. I doubt most of us were at the height of haute couture in mid 90s. But for the life of me, I can't figure out their appeal. The hair is SO BIG. Okay, maybe Joey is kinda cute, but he really reminds me of my junior high best friends little brother, and that way creeps me out.

I feel that there will one day, that they will announce an honest-to-goodness reunion tour. So, in preparation of that, what are, like, your best NKOTB memories?

Stinky Feet

Thursday, January 24, 2008

Two things, before I get into the original topic of this post. Be careful where searching for pictures of both "feet" or "stinky feet" on Google Image Search. The former search term will provide all manner of dirty pictures of people doing a wide, almost impressive variety of things with feet. The latter term will result in the most vile, crusty, scabby pictures you'd never want to see.

I came home after a meeting last evening at around 8:30pm. MW had also just recently gotten home. We installed ourselves, as usual, in front of the TV for some American Idol:

MW: Ugh.. Baby, you stink! *pulls shirt up over his nose*
Me: I do?? *sniffs the air*
MW: Yeeeeesss!! Ewww.
Me: I don't smell anything bad. I sprayed some body mist earlier, that must be it. But I thought it smelled good. Here. *walks and leans over, forcing him to take in my alluring aroma*
MW: Ack! Get away!!! *blindly bats at the air*
Me: (rejected). Fine. I'll sit over here.

A few minutes pass.

Me: *looking over at MW* You can still smell it?
MW: Yes. *nose still hidden under his shirt*
Me: Well.. Is it B.O?
MW: *tentatively sniffing the air* Yes.
Me: *sniffing, again* I don't think it's me. *walks over* Hey, it's you!! You stink! *triumphantly* It's your feet!!
MW: Shut up!
Me: *whipping off my socks and sniffing* Not me! You stink! *waving socks in the air*
MW: *runs off, fetching the Dr. Scholls, spraying random spots all over the apartment*

**Update: Rowan and Martin were adopted to a (presumably) loving home!!! :)

If I was not already at maximum capacity in terms of pets in my apartment as it is, I'd be scooping this two buddies up right now. I'd take them home, give them a nice room to sniff around in, and slowly coax them out with lots of treats and cuddles. Oh. It gets better. Here is the description from the SPCA site:

Description: These beautiful cats came in after being found near Beaconsfield with a third guy who has already found his forever home. Rowan and Martin are very scared in their new surroundings and aren’t quite sure of new people so they tend to hide behind each other. Rowan (the cream coloured one) is the more curious of the two but he is still very much a scared kitty at the moment. We would really like to see these sweet cats find a forever home *together* as they seem to be *extremely* attached to one another. You can almost always see them leaning against each other or sleeping side by side in their shared cage. We know that these cats would make a wonderful addition to any home if given the chance so we’re asking you to open up your heart and give these 2 adorable guys the loving home they deserve. Because they are so scared at the moment they would need to find an owner who has lots of love and patience to let them come out of their shells.

So, if anyone is in the area, and has a little room, please consider these two. It'd be a shame to have these two friends be put down. I'm evening offering to help you out with the cost, if that's an option. Like I said, if it weren't for the possibility of being evicted from my apartment, they would live with us. Anyway. PSA over. :)

In stark contrast to my recent love of animals, I have noticed a seething hate towards some fellow members of humankind. I am typically quite easy going and extremely patient. But lately, that has flown out the window, and I'm not nearly as likely to pick up the shit some people put down. I can't say I enjoy the feeling, but it is rather liberating to have my boundaries defined. I honestly don't know why it has taken this long.
